Descripción

La isla tiene varias playas de arena blanca. La temperatura es benigna todo el año. Cuenta con un aeropuerto nacional, aeropuerto de Phú Quốc. Un nuevo aeropuerto internacional se encuentra en construcción. La isla es parte de la provincia de Kien Giang, tiene una superficie total de 574 kilómetros cuadrados (222 millas cuadradas) y una población permanente de aproximadamente 85.000 personas.[1] El distrito de Phu Quoc incluye la isla propiamente dicha y 21 islotes más pequeños. Tiene una longitud de 50 km de norte a sur y una anchura máxima de 20 km, Sus colinas boscosas culminan a los 603 metros.

Phú Quốc hat eine Fläche von 568 km² und etwa 70.000 Einwohner. Der Hauptort der Insel ist das an der Westküste gelegene Dương Đông. Im Vergleich zu anderen vietnamesischen Inseln hat Phú Quốc eine sehr gute Infrastruktur, denn neben dem Internationalen Flughafen Phú Quốc gibt es mehrere Häfen, einige asphaltierte Straßen, aber auch nichtasphaltierte breite Staubpisten, Banken, ein Krankenhaus, eine Post- und Polizeistation und einen kleinen sehenswerten Markt.

Phú Quốc and nearby islands, along with the distant Thổ Chu Islands, are part of Kiên Giang Province as Phú Quốc City, the island has a total area of 574 km2 (222 sq mi) and a permanent population of approximately 179,480 people.[1] Located in the Gulf of Thailand, the island city of Phú Quốc includes the island proper and 21 smaller islets. Dương Đông ward is located on the west coast, and is also the administrative and largest town on the island. The other ward is An Thới on the southern tip of the island.

Phú Quốc (vietnamien) ou Koh Tral / Koh Trol (khmer : កោះត្រល់) est la plus grande île du Viêt Nam faisant partie d'un archipel composé de 22 îles, situé à l'extrême sud-ouest du pays et dépendant de la province de Kiên Giang. Phú Quốc est trois fois plus éloignée des côtes vietnamiennes que de celles du Cambodge, distantes seulement d'une douzaine de kilomètres. Peuplée de 107 000 habitants, sa superficie est de 585 km² avec une longueur de 50 km du nord au sud et une largeur maximale de 20 km. Ses collines boisées culminent à 603 m d'altitude avec le mont Chúa.
