Isla de Sai[1] (también escrito Isla de Saï) es una gran isla en el río Nilo, en Nubia, Sudán,[2] entre la segunda y tercera de las cataratas. Tiene 12 km de largo y 5,5 km de ancho. Sai fue ocupada de forma intermitente por los egipcios durante el Imperio Nuevo, periodo histórico que comienza con la reunificación de Egipto.

Las excavaciones han ayudado a resaltar una ciudad amurallada a comienzos de la XVIII dinastía (Nuevo Reino) en la parte norte de la isla, en un promontorio rocoso.

Sai ist eine der größten Inseln im nubischen Nil. Sie ist etwa 12 km lang und 5,5 km breit und liegt auf halben Weg zwischen dem 2. und 3. Katarakt. Sie ist größtenteils mit Wüste bedeckt, doch gibt es an den Ufern auch Ackerland. Heute gehört sie zum sudanesischen Bundesstaat asch-Schamaliyya.

Saï was intermittently occupied by the Egyptians during the New Kingdom. In the Makurian period it was the center of a bishopric, while in the second half of the 16th century the Ottomans founded a fortress on the island.
