The rocks were surveyed by the British Naval Hydrographic Survey Unit in 1956-57 and named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Able Seaman John Walsham, Royal Navy, a member of the Unit.

Die Walsham Rocks sind eine Gruppe aus zwei kleinen Inseln am südwestlichen Ende des Palmer-Archipels westlich der Antarktischen Halbinsel. Sie liegen im Mittel 1,5 km östlich von Buff Island. Die Gruppe besteht aus der Islote Edgardo und der Islote Jorge.
