Straumøya is an island in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. The 29.7-square-kilometre (11.5 sq mi) island is located on the south side of the Saltfjorden, just west of the Saltstraumen strait. The island is connected to the mainland by the Indre Sunnan Bridge and to the nearby Knaplundsøya island by the Saltstraumen Bridge, both bridges are a part of Norwegian County Road 17. In 2016, the island had 278 residents.[1]

The island has the Seinesodden Nature Reserve and the village of Seines with its associated surfing spot.[2]

Straumøya es una isla en el municipio de Bodø en el condado de Nordland, Noruega. La isla de 29.7 km² se encuentra en el lado sur de Saltfjorden, justo al este del estrecho de Saltstraumen. La isla está conectada al continente por el puente Indre Sunnan y a la cercana isla Knaplundsøya por el puente Saltstraumen, ambos puentes son parte de la carretera condal 17 (Noruega). Straumøya est une île de Norvège située au sud de Bodø, baignée par le Saltfjord dont le Saltstraumen à l'est. De forme allongée, son angle sud-est est traversé par la route nationale 17. L'île s'est formé il y a 2 000 ou 3 000 ans avec la mise en eau du Saltfjord liée à l'ajustement de la lithosphère en raison de la fonte des glaces de la dernière glaciation.
