Fisher Island is an ice-covered island 13 kilometres (7 nmi) long, lying just north of Edward VII Peninsula where it marks the Western side of the entrance to Sulzberger Bay. Mapped from surveys by the USGS and U.S. Navy air photos (1959–65). Named in 1966 by US-ACAN for Wayne Fisher of the United States Department of State.

Die Fisher-Insel (oder auch Fisher Island) ist eine gut 12 km lange, eisbedeckte Insel nördlich der Edward-VII-Halbinsel. Sie begrenzt westlich die Einfahrt zur Sulzberger Bay. Vom antarktischen Festland, speziell von der Saunders-Küste, die hier die Edward-VII-Halbinsel im Norden begrenzt, ist sie über eine Strecke 1,6 km durch den westlichen Ausläufer des Swinburne-Schelfeises getrennt.

L'isola Fisher è un'isola rocciosa della Terra di Marie Byrd, in Antartide. L'isola, che è completamente ricoperta dai ghiacci e che è lunga circa 7 km, è situata in particolare nella parte della Terra di Marie Byrd che si sovrappone alla parte nord-orientale della Dipendenza di Ross, dove si trova davanti alla costa di Saunders, all'interno baia di Sulzberger, di cui costituisce il confine occidentale, dove è quasi completamente circondata dai ghiacci della piattaforma glaciale Swinburne, di cui invece rappresenta il confine nord-occidentale.[1]
