Whistling Cay ist eine 7,7 ha große Insel 270 m westlich der unbewohnten Halbinsel Mary Point auf Saint John in den Amerikanischen Jungferninseln. Sie ist mit Bäumen bedeckt und erreicht im Norden am Kliff eine Höhe von 40 m. Auf der Südostseite befindet sich ein Kiesstrand. Die Insel und Mary Point werden durch die Fungi Passage getrennt, die eine Tiefe von 6,4 m erreicht.[1]

Whistling Cay kann mit dem Boot von Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay oder Francis Bay erreicht werden[2] und ist Ziel von Tauchern und Schnorchlern.[3]

Während des 19. Jahrhunderts war die Insel Standort eines Dänischen Zollpostens zur Kontrolle der Passage zwischen den nördlich gelegenen Britischen Jungferninseln und Dänisch-Westindien.[4]

Whistling Cay ist Teil des Virgin Islands National Park.

Whistling Cay is a 19-acre (7.7 ha) islet, situated 300 yards (270 m) west of Mary Point on Saint John in the United States Virgin Islands. It is covered with trees and high cliffs in the north, where it reaches a 130-foot (40 m) elevation. A gravel beach is located on the southeast side of the island. It is separated from Saint John by the Fungi Passage, which has a depth of 21 feet (6.4 m).[1][2]
