Luftaufnahmen der Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. aus dem Jahr 1956 dienten dem Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey der Kartierung. Das UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee benannte sie 1959 nach Mr. Trundle, einer Figur aus dem Fortsetzungsroman Die Pickwickier (1836–1837) des britischen Schriftstellers Charles Dickens.

Photographed by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1956 and mapped from these photos by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1959 after Mr Trundle, a character in Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers.
