George Island (span.: Isla Jorge) ist eine der Falklandinseln. Sie liegt südlich von Speedwell Island und nordöstlich von Barren Island. Die Insel ist flach und weist einige Teiche auf.

Auf George Island befindet sich eine Farm. Der größte Teil der Insel wird als Schafweide genutzt. Sie ist für ihre Kolonien des Magellan-Pinguins bekannt. Bedeutend sind auch ihre Bestände an Riesensturmvögeln, Falklandzaunkönigen, Dunklen Sturmtauchern, Einfarb-Uferwippern, Falkland-Dampfschiffenten und Rotkopfgänsen. Gemeinsam mit den anderen Inseln der Speedwell-Gruppe wird sie von BirdLife International als Important Bird Area (FK16) ausgewiesen.[1]

George Island wird gelegentlich von Kreuzfahrern angelaufen.

George Island (Spanish: Isla Jorge) is the second largest of the Speedwell Island Group in the Falkland Islands with a land area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi). It lies south of Speedwell Island and south west of East Falkland, and is separated from Lafonia by Eagle Passage. The island is generally flat, rising no more than 18 metres (59 ft) above sea level, and there are several ponds and there is severe soil erosion in the central section. However, the island is free of rats.
