Die Lars-Christensen-Küste ist derjenige Teil der Küste des antarktischen Kontinents, der zwischen dem Murray-Monolith bei 66° 54' Ost und dem Beginn des Amery-Schelfeises bei 71° 00' Ost liegt. Die meerwärts gerichteten Teile des Gebietes wurden von norwegischen Seglern entdeckt, die von Lars Christensen beschäftigt waren, nach dem die Küste benannt ist. Die Erforschung und Kartierung der inneren Seite wurden in den 1950ern durch australische Expeditionen vervollständigt.

[en] Lars Christensen Coast

The Lars Christensen Coast is that portion of the coast of Antarctica lying between Murray Monolith, in 66°54′E, and the head of the Amery Ice Shelf in 71°0′E. The seaward portions of this area (along the Amery Ice Front to Murray Monolith) were discovered and sailed along by Norwegian whalers employed by Lars Christensen of Sandefjord, Norway for whom this coast is named. Christensen personally participated in some of the exploration conducted in Antarctica by his firm, 1926–37. Exploration and mapping of the southwestern (interior) side of the Amery Ice Shelf was accomplished by Australian expeditions during the 1950s.[1]

Robertson e la parte della costa continentale compresa tra capo Darnley (67°43′05″S 69°30′00″E), nella penisola di Bjerko, il limite orientale della Terra di Mac. Robertson, e l'estremità occidentale della piattaforma di ghiaccio Amery, alla longitudine di 71°E. In particolare, il confine occidentale della costa di Lars Christensen è segnato dal monolite Murray (67°47′S 66°54′E), e la costa confina a est con una zona priva di nome e di appartenenza che si estende verso est fino al promontorio di Jennings (70°10′S 72°33′E), confine occidentale della costa di Ingrid Christensen (e quindi della Terra della Principessa Elisabetta), e a ovest con la costa di Mawson.[1]
