Die Gourdon-Halbinsel ist eine 10 km lange und verschneite Halbinsel, welche die südöstliche Seite der Lapeyrère-Bucht im Nordosten der Anvers-Insel im Palmer-Archipel bildet.

Jean-Baptiste Charcot erkundete die Nordostküste der Anvers-Insel bei der Vierten Französischen Antarktisexpedition (1903–1905). Er gab einer Landspitze zwischen der Lapeyrère-Bucht und der Fournier-Bucht den Namen Pointe Gourdon nach dem französischen Vize-Admiral Palma Firmin Christian Gourdon (1843–1913). Das UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee übertrug die Benennung 1956 auf die Halbinsel, die mit der von Charcot identifizierten Landspitze identisch ist.

Gourdon Peninsula (.mw-parser-output .geo-default,.mw-parser-output .geo-dms,.mw-parser-output .geo-dec{display:inline}.mw-parser-output .geo-nondefault,.mw-parser-output .geo-multi-punct{display:none}.mw-parser-output .longitude,.mw-parser-output .latitude{white-space:nowrap}64°24′S 63°12′W) is a snow-covered peninsula 6 nautical miles (11 km) long, forming the southeast side of Lapeyrere Bay on the northeast coast of Anvers Island, in the Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica. The northeast coast of Anvers Island was roughly surveyed by the French Antarctic Expedition under Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1905 and the name "Pointe Gourdon," for Vice-Admiral Gourdon of the French Navy, was given to a point between Lapeyrere Bay and Fournier Bay. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1956 altered the name to Gourdon Peninsula and applied it to the peninsula described, which almost certainly is the feature Charcot had in mind when he gave the original name.[1]
